The festival is part of the Cultural Events Calendar of Sofia Municipality. It has established itself as the only festival in Bulgaria about ancient music. The Youth Fair Festival has been held every year since 2007, aiming to give a tribune to the youngest artists in the performing arts to perform for the first time. Since 2016, the format of the festival has been changing, keeping its focus on the young, but developing a poorly studied stage practice in Bulgaria - site-specific theater, which is a kind of a stage performance inspired by a specific site.
The festival is the only one of its kind in Bulgaria, which takes place in this format. Yellow Cobblestones Music Festival
The festival encompasses a variety of styles, genres, and trends in world music. It takes place in October at Bulgarian Army Theater. Each year, it features foreign and Bulgarian musicians who mix different musical styles. The program of the sixth edition in 2019 is dedicated to the diversity of European jazz schools with a focus on French music tradition and trumpets. Many international performers are set to take part in the festival including Olivier Gatto, Salim Dada, Camelia Ben Nasser and the band Abigoba.
The festival invests in young people - pupils, students and young musicians. They will have the opportunity to perform in different places in Sofia.
Again, in order to support the young talents, the festival traditionally organizes master classes with lecturers - musicians visiting the festival, in the hall of Lyubomir Pipkov National School of Music.

5 KM RUN
Organized free 5 km run. Everyone can join regardless of gender and age (including disabled people, parents with strollers, as well as people with dogs on a leash).
*The main 5km running track is located in Sofia, Yuzhen park. The start and finish lines are located on the main alley in front of the monument with birds.

For the 12th edition of the Youth Fair the team of the Youth Theater has invited one of the most successful Bulgarians abroad who practice this type of theater - Christian Bakalov, as well as artists from IAC Centro Arti Integrate from Matera (Italy) - the other city which is European Capital of Culture in 2019.

October 14 (Petkovden) - We Honor St Paraskeva (Petka) of Tarnovo
In Sofia there is a mediaeval church from the 13th century, which was part of the residence of Sebastokrator Kaloyan, but was destroyed during the Ottoman invasion. In 1578 the temple was rebuilt. The program of the event includes, along with the well-known masterpieces of classical music, works of similarly high quality, but rarely performed or by authors left undeservedly in the shadow of the most brilliant composers.

Sofia Independent Film Festival – 9th Edition
Sofia Independent Film Festival is the only festival dedicated to independent films in Southeast Europe. Initially presenting a panorama of independent American cinema, today the festival offers a great selection of European, Bulgarian, American and world cinema. Supports mainly the young and independent Bulgarian cinema. In 2019, the European dimension of the festival will be even stronger, and our efforts will be to present the Bulgarian film industry in its European context as one of the most rapidly and successfully developing ones at the moment. The focus of our efforts will be to give Sofia, as a creative city of cinema, a European festival of independent cinema and culture.
