The exposition includes works presenting the city from the end of the 19th century to present day. In addition to the paintings, there will also be postcards, photos and texts where you can read the impressions of Bulgarian and foreign travelers, diplomats and intellectuals regarding the changes and development of the city over the years - architectural, social, political events and people's participation in them.

Regional History Museum – Sofia presents “The Manifesting ideology 1944-1989”. The exhibition is to open its doors on November 7, 2019 and will run until January 31, 2020. It focuses on the years between 1944 – 1989 in Bulgaria. While using historical objects and artifacts the historical review analyzes the above mentioned time period.
Regional History Museum – Sofia brought the exhibition to life in partnership with: Bulgarian National History Museum, Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum at Bulgarian Academy of Science, Museum of Socialist Art and Bulgarian National Film Archive.

Cinemania is the oldest and most popular film event in Bulgaria. Started in 1987 as World Movie Panorama, in 1993 it was renamed to Cinemania. In its 32-year history, the festival has remained true to the slogan "Film Events of the Year". Cinemania presents some of the most attractive and valuable foreign films for the previous two years, which have not been screened in Bulgaria.
The main objective is the geographical and genre diversity of the film program, which should encompass a wide range of fans. Cinemania has become a sign of quality selection and gathers thousands of people teaching them to love this kind of art.

Cinemania is the oldest and most popular film event in Bulgaria. Started in 1987 as World Movie Panorama, in 1993 it was renamed to Cinemania. In its 32-year history, the festival has remained true to the slogan "Film Events of the Year". Cinemania presents some of the most attractive and valuable foreign films for the previous two years, which have not been screened in Bulgaria.
The main objective is the geographical and genre diversity of the film program, which should encompass a wide range of fans. Cinemania has become a sign of quality selection and gathers thousands of people teaching them to love this kind of art.

For 6 years in Bulgaria, the initiative has won the hearts of people, media, actors and directors, as well as has attracted the attention of new audiences. The scope and content of the program are constantly expanding, and the event is highly rated.

Piano Extravaganza Festival

At its 9th edition, Piano Extravaganza Festival will present eight piano recitals, one chamber music concerts, one jazz concert, one music evening and “Open doors day” for adults and children. The extraordinary artists and the variety of the repertoire of the 12 events will satisfy even the most sophisticated connoisseurs.
The event has become a music festival with a distinct theme, which makes it unique in its character and program content.
The program of the event includes, along with the well-known masterpieces of classical music, works of similarly high quality, but rarely performed or by authors left undeservedly in the shadow of the most brilliant composers.

Words, Images, Places - 140 years since the proclamation of Sofia as Capital of Bulgaria

The exposition includes works presenting the city from the end of the 19th century to present day. In addition to the paintings, there will also be postcards, photos and texts where you can read the impressions of Bulgarian and foreign travelers, diplomats and intellectuals regarding the changes and development of the city over the years - architectural, social, political events and people's participation in them.

“The Manifesting ideology 1944-1989”

Regional History Museum – Sofia presents “The Manifesting ideology 1944-1989”. The exhibition is to open its doors on November 7, 2019 and will run until January 31, 2020. It focuses on the years between 1944 – 1989 in Bulgaria. While using historical objects and artifacts the historical review analyzes the above mentioned time period.
Regional History Museum – Sofia brought the exhibition to life in partnership with: Bulgarian National History Museum, Institute of Ethnology and Folklore Studies with Ethnographic Museum at Bulgarian Academy of Science, Museum of Socialist Art and Bulgarian National Film Archive.

“The Scars of War: The Lost Architectural Heritage of Sofia”

From November 14, 2019, this is date of the first massive bombing of Sofia during World War II back in 1943, to April 17, 2020, the date of the last one in 1944, at The National History Museum the immersive space “The Scars of War: The Lost Architectural Heritage of Sofia” will be opened for visitors.
“The Scars of War: The Lost Architectural Heritage of Sofia” was brought to life in partnership with the Bulgarian National Film Archives, and funded by the “Culture” programme of Sofia Municipality.
