Spirit and matter fuse into one to introduce us to the world of sculptor Ivan Rusev, who narrates his artistic philosophy through stone objects, the fruit of the mental creativity materialized by his hands.

The National Archaeological Museum

For thirteenth consecutive year the National Archaeological Museum, together with 17 museums from the country, organizes the temporary exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology”. The exhibition presents the most interesting and impressive discoveries and investigations from the last active archaeological season. Among the artefacts on display are gold, silver and bronze adornments, gold stamp-ring, fine ceramic anthropomorphic figurines, pottery vessels, silver coins, bronze figures, and many others. A total of 26 sites are included, illustrating the development of cultures in present day Bulgaria from the Palaeolithic (more than 40 000 years before present) until the Middle ages. The exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology 2019” will be on display in the Temporary Exhibitions Hall of the National Archaeological Museum from 15 February until 26 April 2020.

International Mother Earth Day

Since 1993, the Earth and Man National Museum has been celebrating the initiative with a number of traditional international events. Music and Earth International Competition - International Competition for Instrumentalists and Composers is held during Earth Days. It aims to inspire young artists to create and perform music works dedicated to the Earth and its survival. Another big event is the International Photo Contest – the EARTH FOR ALL exhibition. The purpose of the competition is to promote, through the means of artistic photography, the formation of a new attitude towards nature and its survival.

For thirteenth consecutive year the National Archaeological Museum, together with 17 museums from the country, organizes the temporary exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology”. The exhibition presents the most interesting and impressive discoveries and investigations from the last active archaeological season. Among the artefacts on display are gold, silver and bronze adornments, gold stamp-ring, fine ceramic anthropomorphic figurines, pottery vessels, silver coins, bronze figures, and many others. A total of 26 sites are included, illustrating the development of cultures in present day Bulgaria from the Palaeolithic (more than 40 000 years before present) until the Middle ages. The exhibition “Bulgarian Archaeology 2019” will be on display in the Temporary Exhibitions Hall of the National Archaeological Museum from 15 February until 26 April 2020.
