VITOSHA. BIODIVERSITY - THE WEALTH OF OUR CAPITAL CITY

Regional History Museum - Sofia presents the exhibition Vitosha. Biodiversity - the wealth of our capital. The official opening will take place on March 23, 2023. (Thursday) from 18:00 in hall 2 of the Ancient Cultural and

Communication Complex (ACCC) "Serdika" (under the domes of Largoto).

The exhibition is the first of a series of events planned for the 90th anniversary of the opening of Vitosha Nature Park - the first in Bulgaria and on the Balkan Peninsula. Mount Vitosha is depicted on the coat of arms of Sofia as one of the most emblematic symbols of the capital.

The original project, the work of Haralampi Tachev, is exhibited in the Regional History Museum - Sofia.

17 panels with photographs and short texts reveal interesting facts about plants and animals that we can see in the mountains, as well as how we could be involved in their conservation. The exposition is realized in partnership with the Directorate of Vitosha Nature Park and will be available for viewing until April 28, 2023.
