The lights of Sofia's Christmas Tree will be lit at a special ceremony and a light show on December 1 in front of the National Theater

On December 1, the Sofia Municipality organizes a ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree in Sofia with performances by favorite dance and music groups and 3D mapping on the square in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theater.

The tree will be 10 meters high, decorated with many lights and garlands. The festive program will begin at 6 p.m., and at 7 p.m. the lights of the Christmas tree will be lit in the presence of many favorite actors.

An ice park opens its doors on December 1 in the Knyazheska Garden

The ice park is modeled after the famous Ice Rink in front of the municipal building in Vienna. The Ice Rink is on the territory of the Knyazheska Garden and will be opened on December 1. Along with it, a Christmas Bazaar is also planned, where skaters or those accompanying them can spend pleasant minutes during the holidays.

Holiday lights will shine on Sofia's Christmas towns

Christmas mood and rich decorations accompany a number of Christmas markets, which will be held in different places in Sofia. A rich cultural program with film screenings, concerts, workshops for contemporary and applied art, as well as charitable causes accompany the Christmas towns.

Sofia Christmas Fest opened on November 18 and will continue until December 25 in South Park.

There will be a Christmas Park from December 4 to 30 at Slaveykov Square.

The Christmas Bazaar Saborna will be held on the street of the same name from December 1 to January 8.

A Christmas Bazaar will also open in Vazrazhdane park, and it will be held from December 9 to January 2.

There will also be a Christmas Bazaar at the Women's Market, and the German Bazaar will be in front of the National Theatre.

There will also be Christmas bazaars in Novi Iskar district (from December 20 to 21), Gerena (from December 20 to 23) and Severen Park (from December 20 to 31).
