The first planetarium in the capital will be opened in front of the Regional Center for Contemporary Arts "Toplocentrala" in Sofia. The official ceremony will be today, November 25. The facility, called Andromeda, has a height of 4.6 m and a diameter of the dome of 5 m. The capacity of visits is up to 15 people. The most impatient visitors will be able to visit it on November 26, and its working hours will be from 11:00 a.m. until late in the evening. Between 12 and 15 people will be able to enter every round hour. Films about the universe and the Earth are planned to be screened in the planetarium, the hall will be available for rent for lectures and trainings. The creators also plan to create a social program with free admission for visitors with special needs. The planetarium was created according to the project of Experimental Design Bureau "Photonics", with which their team won the prize in the "Entrepreneur in Science" competition of the "Carol - Knowledge" Foundation. The facility was created using aviation technology using composite materials. The place was provided by the Metropolitan Municipality.
