They are building the Ice Park in the Knyazheska Garden in Sofia

An ice rink will be built in the Knyazheska Garden opposite Sofia University. The facility will have a total area of ​​3.5 acres. The Ice Park is part of the Sofia - European Capital of Sports Program, reports the Sofia Municipality. It is planned that a part of the avenues will have an ice surface with forks and turns, which will give winter skaters the opportunity to walk. The construction of the rink is already underway, and it is expected to be ready in early December. The park is expected to be similar to those in Vienna, Brussels, Paris, Prague and London. With the construction of the Ice Park, Sofia ranks among the major European capitals that have a long-standing tradition of using city facilities for winter sports.
