Historical Information
The park is designed and built around 1960 and 1970 on the place of the lands of Vrabnitsa village. The construction of the park is officially done in 1985. Western of it is Livadite countryside (‘Livadite’ translates to ‘The meadows’ in English). Through the park goes Kakach river as well.

The North Park is located in the northern part of the city on 0.78 sq. m. At the entrance to the forest part of the park is located the unique for Sofia sundial. The forestation consists of both broad-leaved coniferous trees. In the park there are a couple of asphalt alleys, as well as facilities for children’s entertainment, restaurants and others. In the eastern part of the North Park you can see a children’s playground, including interesting socialist elements - Katyusha rocket launcher and other similar to that.
